Wicked Warren’s, located at 115-121 W. Third St., has announced a July 13 grand opening date that will include live music throughout the day, giveaways, prizes, specials and merchandise available for purchase.

A date has been set to launch Jamestown’s second attempt at a downtown brewery.

Wicked Warren’s Jamestown has been active on social media recently with updates of renovations to the former Jamestown Brewing Company building on Third Street. Over the weekend, the Warren-based brewing company announced a July 13 grand opening date that will include live music throughout the day, giveaways, prizes, specials and merchandise available for purchase.

“We are beyond excited to become Jamestown’s entertainment destination,” brewery officials said in a Facebook post Saturday.

Earlier this year, the Jamestown Local Development Corp. approved a 10-year, $350,000 loan to Wicked Jimmy’s LLC. That money helped pay for the $2.2 million acquisition and redevelopment of the former Jamestown Brewing Company. The county IDA approved a 20-year loan totaling $950,000. Wicked Warren’s Jamestown is expected to employ 15 people in the kitchen and another 15 in the front of the house.

Since taking possession of the building on May 1, Wicked Warren’s workers have been working to get the brewery and restaurant ready for the public, installing a new pizza oven, getting existing equipment ready for use, planting a rooftop garden

“We are thrilled to share that the Wicked Warren’s Restaurant and Bar is one step closer to opening their doors,” city officials posted on the city’s Facebook page recently. “The team received their permit today, and we couldn’t be more excited. We’ve been driving by and watching all the action, and we can’t wait for this fantastic new business to open downtown.”
