WEATHER SUMMARY
AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF MILD AND LARGELY DRY WEATHER APPEARS INCREASINGLY LIKELY AFTER THURSDAY
Expect more cloudy, cool, and occasionally damp weather, mainly in the form of scattered showers or patchy drizzle, through at least Thursday morning with some drying likely by later in the day. After that, the pattern will dry out as a wedge of surface high pressure builds across the Northeast on Friday which will get us back into at least partial sunshine and milder weather with temperatures moving into the upper 70s.
After that, it will then be a battle between the high pressure system and a storm system over the south that will determine how our weather will play out this weekend. And right now I’m leaning toward the area of high pressure winning out. So, with that in mind, Saturday’s weather has continued to trend drier and pleasant with dry pleasant weather likely to persist on Sunday, although clouds and rain won’t be too far to the south, which does decrease the overall forecast certainty at this point. But the trends are certainly pointing to a decent weekend with partial sunshine both days and temperatures running in the mid 70s on Saturday and then upper 70s on Sunday.
Monday and Tuesday are also looking warm and largely dry with highs near or a bit above 80 degrees.
