winning the Grade 1 Pegasus World Cup Turf Invitational nearly two months ago,
Atone has been a reliable worker.
For the
last six Saturdays the 6-year-old Into Mischief gelding has breezed at
Gulfstream Park. This weekend he was clocked at 59.55 seconds, the fastest of
36 works covering five furlongs on the fast main track.

Mike Maker said right after the Pegasus Turf win that he might aim Atone toward
the Turf Classic (G1) on the Kentucky Derby undercard at Churchill Downs on May
6. He has not publicly provided an update on what might be next for Atone, who
has won his last two races to run his career purse earnings to $1,179,146.
