NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) – Shoppers are starting early for Black Friday doorbusters as shopping is an anticipated side to the Thanksgiving holiday.

The National Retail Federation predicts a record amount of shopping online and in-store this Black Friday. The federation expects over 180 million shoppers starting from Friday to Cyber Monday this year. The prediction beats last year’s 182 million and 18 million in 2019.

Black Friday shoppers are starting early on getting their bargains and deals Friday morning.

The 90 stores at the North Charleston Tanger Outlets are opening their store doors at 6 a.m. Friday after closing for Thanksgiving Day.

The outlets will have extended shopping hours until 9 p.m. Friday. Stores prepared for the holiday craze with stackable deals and member discounts. Tanger Outlets leaders say this work started in early November as people are shopping earlier this year.

Officials recommend arriving early or in the evening to avoid crowds and packed parking areas.

Black Friday deals can be found online ahead of time.
