Entertainment production house Viacom18 has joined hands with Warner Bros. Discovery in a multi-year deal to bring some of the best international entertainment content to Indian viewers through the platform of JioCinema, starting next month. This means that HBO Original, Max and Warner Bros content will now be available in India, after it left previous home Disney+ Hotstar last month.
The deal includes HBO’s shows with their current and future seasons of House of the Dragon, The Last of Us, Succession and The White Lotus, and returning seasons of True Detective, Euphoria, Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty and Perry Mason. The deal will also make upcoming HBO originals such as The Idol, White House Plumbers, The Sympathizer and The Regime, and popular legacy HBO series such as Game of Thrones, Sex & the City, Big Little Lies, Chernobyl and Veep available for Indian viewers.
Series such as Just Like That…, Peacemaker, and The Flight Attendant, which are available on HBO Max, which will be rebranded as Max next month, will now be available through JioCinema. The deal also includes much-awaited Max premieres such as Dune: The Sisterhood, The Batman spinoff The Penguin, and Duster, from JJ Abrams and LaToya Morgan.

Titles from Warner Bros. vast film library, including the Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings and DC Universe movies, as well kids’ animation titles like Dexter’s Laboratory and Tom and Jerry Kids will also be available on JioCinema.
