Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner are ready for the highly anticipated semifinal of the BNP Paribas Open 2023. The Spanish tennis player himself can’t wait to face the Italian in the Indian Wells semifinal. In fact, Alcaraz, recalling the exciting past challenges against the Italian, tweeted talking about the match scheduled in a few hours in the Californian desert.
Carlos wrote: “I can’t wait to play against Jannik tomorrow! Regardless of who wins, I think our previous games have been great fun for the fans and for us too!” In fact, the matches between Alcaraz and Sinner have always been anything but boring.
Just think of the quarterfinals a few months ago at the Us Open when the two young tennis players reached the fifth set with the Spaniard who recovered down by two sets to one, also saving match points in the fourth set. That match, among other things, turned the Alcaraz tournament in no small way, which then went on to triumph at the Us Open by putting his first career Slam, later also conquering the ATP no.1.
In the previous four between them, which sees there being absolute parity with two victories each, Jannik Sinner also has sweet memories. In his last success against the Spanish 2003 came the 250 title of Umag thanks to a great comeback performance.
Tonight, therefore, will be the fifth precedent between them and another prestigious goal is up for grabs: the Indian Wells final that neither of the two tennis players has ever reached so far in their career. Among other things, Alcaraz and Sinner also have ranking ambitions in this tournament: the first in the event of a triumph in the American 1000m would regain the primacy of the ranking, the second instead would return again to the top ten, more precisely in sixth place and would therefore be the best ranking.
Below you can read the tweet shared by Carlos Alcaraz, in which he said he can’t wait to face Sinner:
Can’t wait to play Jannik tomorrow! ð¿ No matter who won, I think our previous matches have been great fun for the fans, and also for us!
