b1Bank opens Bluebonnet branch

b1Bank has opened a branch in the Bluebonnet Centre office building. 

The branch at 9100 Bluebonnet Centre, which features an interactive teller machine, is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. The interactive teller is open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. 

This is the ninth location in metro Baton Rouge for b1Bank. 

LED accepting applications for Diversity in Entrepreneurship Initiative

Applications are open for the 2024 Diversity in Entrepreneurship Initiative, a Louisiana Economic Development program designed to accelerate growth in second-stage minority- and female-owned businesses.

Second-stage Louisiana businesses, with five to 99 employees and annual revenue between $600,000 and $50 million, are eligible for participation.

The program features retreat-style virtual meetings and monthly roundtables that employ a unique blend of content, dialogue, strategic research and peer learning.

More than 35 minority- and female-owned businesses have participated in the diversity initiative since it was launched in 2021.

Registration open for construction business and law seminar

Registration is open for the Louisiana Contractors Accreditation Institute’s Business and Law Seminar, which provides small and emerging construction companies information about management and business operations.

The institute will offer the six-week course via Zoom. Online classes run Oct. 7 through Nov. 13, consisting of two-hour sessions from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday and Wednesday.

Topics include: bid processes, contract management, estimating, equipment management, occupational safety, risk management and bonding/access to capital.
